Photo-shoot One - Experiment
Working with fashion students Lizzy Knight and Karla Stevens.
Taking images of 'inspiration;' on trend fashion shots for A/W. These shots were inspired by angles and direction and I directed and arranged the photo-shoot to correlate what they informed me on this year's 'Colour Blocking' trend.
I took the term blocking and decided to focus it on the fashion, location, colour, model and final layout within the publication.
Editing the Images
Blocking image over image. Overlapping design - In design this is quite an interesting visual that is always inspiring when it comes to design.
Layout and Editorial
Creating a simple 'blocked' effect to show the images and to arrange the designs in a simple yet effective grid.
Final Publication
I feel that the publication would work well as a 'pull out' section of the magazine. A5 format could work to present the design and the use of this 'pull out' could let the images be used for research within design displines without ruing the main publication with ripping.
